Andrew Basler

Woodwind | Brass

Available: Wednesday & Saturday Andrew Basler graduated with a music degree from The University of New Mexico in 2003. Andrew’s primary instrument is Saxophone but he has experience with all wind instruments. Andrew then completed his teaching certification for New Mexico and in 2009 he moved to the state of Texas where he taught for San Felipe Del Rio CISD for 14 years. During those 14 years, Andrew achieved multiple superior ratings at band contests and solo competitions. Throughout all the years of teaching, Andrew has taught beginning students and experienced students.

Bobby Rivas

Available: Monday, Wednesday, Friday & Sunday Bobby Rivas is a classically trained performer on acoustic, electric and bass guitar. Heavily involved in the LSBC worship team, he had also spent years playing all over the country as a live and studio musician. With nearly a decade of teaching experience, Bobby has a passion for helping students of all skill levels accomplish their goals on guitar.

Claudia Lay

Available: Tuesday & Thursday Claudia Lay is a homeschooling mother of two musically gifted children and a former senior leader at Oak Hills Church. Her own musical journey began in childhood with piano and dance lessons, eventually earning her honors such as a performance at Carnegie Hall. Claudia's children share her passion for music and have achieved recognition in various musical endeavors. As an active member of local homeschooling organizations, Claudia integrates music education into their daily curriculum and also teaches at CAC, where she continues to inspire and nurture a love for music.

Daniel Walker

Available: Monday thru Saturday Daniel Walker is a senior at The University of Texas at San Antonio studying Music Composition. He has over 15 years of experience in piano and drums. He was raised in San Antonio and has lived there his whole life. He currently plays with the Community Bible Church worship team as well as others around the city. Daniel has been teaching for several years now and loves his students at C.A.C.

Available: Thursday & Friday Diana Moore is a board certified music therapist with degrees in music therapy and sociology from the University of the Incarnate Word. She also has over 20 years experience teaching piano to students of various ages. Whether in a therapeutic setting, instructional setting or worship setting she has seen the rich benefits music brings to individuals.

Available: Monday Elayna Sharrow is a passionate piano educator with six years of experience, including her studies at CAC. Currently a high school student at Crestmont Christian Preparatory School, she aims to create a fun and supportive learning environment that fosters confidence and creativity in her students. Outside of music, Elayna enjoys theatre, volleyball, crafting, and participating in mission trips. She looks forward to inspiring a lifelong love of music in her students.

Gracelyn Lay

Available: Tuesdays Gracelyn is a passionate vocalist and multi-instrumentalist with training in piano, ukulele, acoustic guitar, voice, and music theory at CAC, and voice lessons since age 11. A 7th-chair TMEA Regional Choir honoree, she’s performed lead roles in church productions (including Kids Praise at Oak Hills) and in theater (Clue, High School Musical 2, Newsies). She leads worship with her church’s student ministry and, as an instructor, creates a fun, supportive, confidence-building environment for students. Outside music, she volunteers as a puppy raiser for Canine Companions for Independence.

Luis Arizpe

Available: Monday thru Thursday & Saturday Luis Arizpe is a Texas-based songwriter, performer, and music educator with over 30 years of experience. A graduate of the University of North Texas, he specializes in piano, percussion, and tenor vocals. Luis has toured as a support guitarist with the Robin Lees Band and has worked on numerous regional projects as a bassist and studio musician. Currently, he captivates audiences with his jazz-blues trio, Luis Arizpe & The Truth, while passionately teaching Classical Guitar at the Geneva School of Boerne for 20 years. Over 20 of his students have launched successful music careers, performing across Nashville and Los Angeles.

Mikayla Billingsley

Available: Monday thru Friday Mikayla Billingsley is a former CAC student and recent graduate of Dallas Baptist University, where she earned her Bachelor’s degree in Business with a minor in Music. With over 14 years of piano study and 11 years of vocal training, Mikayla has a passion for sharing the joy, knowledge, and skills she has gained through music. Born and raised in the Boerne area, she is excited to return to the community where her love for music began and begin her teaching career.

Available: Monday thru Saturday Robin Roewe joins the Creative Arts Conservatory as a vocal instructor, bringing over 35 years of experience as a worship pastor, performer, and educator. With degrees in music from Baylor University and advanced opera studies in Europe and the U.S., Robin has taught at Simpson College and Houston Baptist University. He’s a Gospel Music Association Grand Prize winner, Metropolitan Opera finalist, and has performed internationally. His teaching blends vocal health with expressive artistry, mentoring students toward success in worship, performance, and education.

Sam Kilgore

Available: Monday Sam Kilgore is a guitar instructor with over 20 years playing experience and 5 years teaching experience. Before he began teaching for the Creative Arts Conservatory in 2021, he taught privately as well as at the San Antonio Music Academy as a substitute guitar instructor. Along with teaching, Sam has experience performing live for groups such as the Country Rock group, Kyle Moon & the Misled, and the variety band, Gunpowder Soup, that performs exclusively for weddings and corporate events. Sam knows many different styles of playing and can teach on both acoustic and electric guitar.

Shelby Ruff

Available: Thursday Shelby has been teaching piano for 18 years, working with students ages 7+ from beginner to advanced levels. A classically trained pianist with 13 years of experience as a worship director, Shelby specializes in personalized lessons that build confidence, musicianship, and a love for music. Shelby especially enjoys helping students develop skills for worship teams and creating a fun, engaging learning experience.

Victoria Lerma

Available: Monday thru Friday Victoria Lerma is a dedicated full-time homeschooling and working mother with a strong attention to detail. She earned her Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and Business Administration from Texas A&M University–San Antonio in 2019. In 2022, she transitioned her analytical and detail-oriented skills into the field of cybersecurity, where she now serves as the Team Lead for a Security Operations department on weekends. Victoria is honored to contribute her accounting expertise to support the bookkeeping needs of Creative Arts Conservatory.
