Claudia Lay

Claudia Lay is a dedicated homeschooling mother of two, sharing a deep passion for music with her family. Before her homeschooling journey, Claudia served as the Director of Operations at Oak Hills Church, where she was a valued member of the Senior Leadership Team.

Her musical journey began early. She excelled in choir during middle school, earning accolades from the Texas Music Educators Association (TMEA). In high school, Claudia performed at Carnegie Hall, was named 2nd Alternate Chair in the TMEA All-State Choir, and received a gold medal in the U.I.L. Texas Solo and Ensemble competition. She also showcased her talents in various musical theater productions.

Claudia’s children have continued her musical legacy. Her daughter and son have been selected for the TMEA Regional Choir. Both have pursued lessons in piano, bass guitar, acoustic guitar, ukulele, and voice at the Creative Arts Conservatory (CAC).

Beyond their artistic pursuits, Claudia and her family are active volunteers with Canine Companions, a nonprofit organization that trains service dogs for individuals with disabilities, reflecting their commitment to community service.

As members of Boerne Area Christian Homeschoolers (BACH) and Hill Country Christian Homeschoolers (HCCH), Claudia integrates music theory and beginner piano into their curriculum, fostering a creative learning environment. She is also a member of the Texas Music Educators Association for Area E, Region 29, Vocal Division.

Claudia is excited to share her experience and passion for music through teaching at CAC, always striving to glorify God through her gifts.
